For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. – Jeremiah 29:11
What God has for you is a beautiful thing. Sometimes we can’t help what circumstances we are born in but we can determine where we are going. God never said we would never experience storms, but he did promise to be with us during the storms. Don’t let the storms of life defeat you and take you off focus. God wants you to prosper in life, he has plans for you that only with him you will be able to fulfill. Sometimes we get to the point and thinking since things are going well that’s when we don’t need God but we need God through the good and the bad. don’t focus on the disasters of life. God will give you beauty for ashes. It’s not about how you start in life, it’s about how you finish. Start and finish with God. You have a purpose in life and never let anything or anyone distract you from your purpose. Storms will come but they don’t last and the beauty of a storm is the rainbow at the end. Just keep going and never quit.
I heard a man tell a story about a mother and daughter who were driving in a major storm. All other cars ahead kept pulling over waiting for the storm to stop so they can continue on. The daughter kept asking the mother, “ do you want me to stop?” And the mother said “no keep going” she continued through the storm seeing that more people had pulled over waiting for the storm to stop then finally they got to a point where the storm had stopped and nothing but sunshine. The mother told the daughter to look behind her because the storm was still in effect. The mother told the daughter “ see, if we would have stopped we would still be stuck in the storm but because we kept on going we made it through and got to the sunshine.”
In life if you just keep on going through the storm. Trust God, only with him are we are able to get through the storms in life. We all have a different purpose in life. Don’t stop working on your purpose just because you see other people pull over and stop working on theirs. What God has for you is for YOU!
Yes sometimes disappointments are going to come and we may feel helpless but where God is going to take you in life is something worth to keep striving and fighting for.
